Tussle over age restricted SA website

You are old enough to have your dick mutilated but you are not old enough to view medical pics of mutilated dicks gone badly wrong...really?

I don't understand why anyone cares what the FPB has to say about what you can or cannot publish on your website? As long as your website is hosted outside of South Africa they can do absolutely nothing about what you publish on your website. If I was this guy I would move my hosting outside of South Africa and tell the FPB to go **** themselves.

This ^^^ -- or is that they want to protect their industry of mutilation and fleecing?

Fight over SA website age restrictions

Most definitions of pornography include the intention to arouse erotic feelings or sexual excitement, the pictures on this website clearly do neither, but instead arouse feelings of anger that this practice is allowed to continue. If I was a young candidate for circumcision, this website would certainly make me think again.

Exactly what I was thinking,these cadre deployed nincompoops don't understand the world in the 21st century and beyond...let alone the Interwebz.Case point

THE ANC Youth League wants social networking site Twitter to be shut down.
:wtf::wtf:

Damn it!!! I wish they had bigger things to fight over.

The Films and Publication Board is making a mockery of themselves. Seriously, medical pictures are of "pornographic nature"? Maybe they want to put an age restriction on all medical text books. Is the human anatomy pornography? They also classified artworks like paintings. Remember the Zuma artwork. Not even the old NP government went as far and they were strict (remember Scope magazine?).

It is the FPB who stated that the website was a "bona fide scientific publication with great educative value." It is the NGO, Codefsa that is appealing against this finding, calling the website pornographic.
