Tutorial DRIFTA on ANY Android Device

Has anyone tried with a stock 10.1v? Just honeycomb... no touchwiz UX??
 
You guys are legends !!! I tried it on Normal HTC Desire and so far so good. I tried it on a friends drifta and got to point where it ask for a password? Where do you get the password? He doesn't have it and doesn't know about password - used it on his pc mainly.

What software does the GT-P1000 run? I know it works on that device...so if thats running honeycomb there must be a way to make it work on the GT-7500?
 
I get a parse error when trying to install? Guess my phone is not compatible unless I root it?
 
Would love to bypass the whole, check for internet part.. very frustrating... having to make sure that 3g/wifi - connected to a wifi network is on... just irritating.

this version skips the root check and fakes the authentication token it sends to the dstv servers; so no build.prop modification required. works on my htc device. please let me know if your device works.

Would someone mind posting a logcat from a device where this works?

I'm curious to see where the 10.1v is failing...
 
Does not work on my non-rooted Desire 2.3 (non HD). Once I select a channel it crashes.
 
ok, so the app works fine, but ive got the mhl hdmi connector, which basically relays whatever is on the phone to a hdmi tv / monitor...
thing is, i tried the app with the mhl connector and it tunes me "Accessory Error, An unsupported accessory has been attached to this device. Please disconnect the accessorry and try again"

Now obviously this is to defeat the viewing restrictions and relay the viewing on a nice 42" LED tv , anyone know how thing can be done ;) :) ;)

Good luck watching the Driftas output on a 42" screen dude. I don't thing any amount of upscaling could do it any good :)

Tested it on my tab and worked, only problem is having difficulty finding any in Cape Town. Game at Canal Walk got stock today but was sold out by 7pm when I got there.
Any ideas?

I can confirm that the drifta works on a HTC Desire (running gingerbread) - not the HD. AWESOME !!!!
 
Hi thanks for the app. I have a weird issue tho. My drifta works perfsct on my ipad but on my rooted sgs. It fails at the connecting screen. And says I should retry or rescan. Or reset my device I have done so several times but still to no avail. Any advice?
