Um, on subject...

Johannesburg - South Africa's Nobel laureate Desmond Tutu made a thinly veiled plea on Wednesday for the ANC not to elect Jacob Zuma as leader, urging it to reject anyone who would shame the country.

"The ANC must not elect someone who the country will be ashamed of," Tutu told The Sowetan.

"We want someone who the rest of us will not be ashamed of," added the Anglican archbishop who remains widely respected for his campaigning to topple the whites-only apartheid regime.

I don't know what scares me more, Zuma becoming president or the people who actually support him...both seem ignoramus

that has always been my statement.....what is more embarrasing...jacob zuma or the fact that jacob zuma actually has supporters.

he is a manifestation of a part of the consciousness that is in a part of our soceity. a countries leaders are always a reflection of this. jacob zuma and george bush are the same person.

It has taken a mere 12-13years to get to a point where this country will have to endure a complete idiot at the helm.

Yep, we were just discussing this in the office this morning: no real presidential presence, hope he surrounds himself with good people and doesn't do too much actual talking himself - now where have we heard that before?

I wish Hellen Ziller would run for presidency, she would do an outstanding job.

How many of you guys vote? I've voted only once and I was seriously annoyed at the constant vote "fixing" scandals and accusations...I could have been doing something productive with my time
Then again is happens in almost every country almost every time theres an election...I seriously ponder if its worthwhile doing sometimes
 
The Zille would do an outstanding job... just don't think we as a democracy in its infancy is ready for that...
