So I caved and ordered a PS4 during the Kalahari sale. As an interim measure I'll be using my PC monitor to hook up to the PS4, but I'm looking at possibly getting a TV to make the most of it.

Are there any TVs that are particularly suited for gaming? All the different models makes my head spin. Budget would be aroun R5000, but if something more expensive is worth it I can always wait a couple of months till I have funds available.

Any suggestions?

Just get a Samsung or LG. Something to the max of your budget and you'll be fine.

Ordered a Samsung 40" LED SmartTV for the xbox one I got my son. Hopefully it will be OK.

Whoops. Fixed the link. It has HDMI connections.

HDMI Sync, if your TV supports it your ps4 will communicate with the TV. EG: The TV is off and you press the power button on the PS4, the PS4 will tell the TV to turn on and select the HDMI source.

HDMI-Sync doesn't work as expected half the time.

Whoop de doo the TV switches on with the PS4. Doesn't help jack since you need the remote to switch it off again etc.

Motion Blur shouldn't be a problem on any TV. Just switch all the useless crap like Motion Plus and Dynamic this and that off and it should be fine.

What do you mean? On my ps3 if I turn it on, the TV turns on if I turn the ps3 off the TV goes off.

For any Samsung TV. Just rename the source to PC. Lowest lag

Sony TV?

It doesn't work the same universally for all TV's was my point. So don't bargain on it as a headline feature.

Sony with Sony different story as it's then using Bravia Sync which is just Sony Flavoured HDMI-CEC but better supported.

In many cases. However in newer sets it appears to make no difference at all while you also lose access so some advanced colour settings.

How can it be full HD with such a low res?
Display
Screen Size 43"
Resolution 852x480
Clear Image Panel Yes

It's outside my budget for the moment but the Samsung 40H6200 looks really good. Think I might save up a bit and get one of these. It should be good for gaming right?
It's not full HD
Samsung PA43H4000 43" Enhanced Definition Plasma
