TV playing B&W with DSTV std decoder

Where does he say that? All I can find is this part which means he's referring to SABC, etv, etc being picked up fine by his areal (unless I'm missing something).

I'm also going with the decoder not outputting a PAL signal.

I didn't know that the 1110 had an option for PAL or NTSC... I still think he plugged it into a component out. We will never know, as this one post wonder OP has disappeared.

What about SPDIF?
Any cable can carry digital signals, not just SPDIF.

My point is they probably ripped OP off by telling him this cable is the best as it is digital. R180 for a pair of RCA cables is madness!

A sucker is ....

I have the same problem but I have the new std zappa decoder...everything was fine until I switched my tv on last night to find that its b&w. I tested my dvd player and the colour is fine on the same AV connection. I think more its the decoder
