DSTV XtraView on vacation

I bought my dstv decoder with me on vacation and i accidentally bought my secondary decoder. I want to know I can watch TV without the primary decoder. What will happen when UNLINK xtraview?

If there's a Smart TV there, just install the DSTV Stream app on it, enter your account credentials, and VOILA! - DSTV without having to connect a decoder...

You are looking for lots of drama if you proceed with unlinking the decoders. Contact DSTV and see if they will be sympathetic to your case and allow you to swop over the status of the primary and secondary decoders.

My best guess is to unlink the decoders, then change your secondary decoder to a holiday decoder, then move your view to the holiday decoder for the duration of your holiday

Decoder gave up on me, is it only the Explora range than can puase or can the entry level decoders also pause ?

I went to a DSTV agency and the unlinked the decoders in like 10 minutes and it was working fine.
