TV Tuner Card

I got the Hauppauge PVR150 and struggle to get it to receive channels. What app is the best for viewing and what setting should i use (ie. the different versions of PAL) ? I am connecting the DSTV decoder directly to the card via rca's.

I don't think you'll get channels through RCA? Only UHF (ariel) port I think. RCA is generally for a direct video feed such as a video camera/VHS etc.

Well seeing as you can only watch one DSTV channel at a time, on a normal decoder anyway, it'd just feed that down the RCA cable so it should work fine.

When is set up the app, what should i set it to receive that one channel?

It feels like silly questions, but i have struggled too much now

What software came with the card? Assuming its a WDM certified it should be picked up by any number of capture/tv utilities. I used to use MCE with my TV card.

Set your input to AV (Composite)

Mine works fine like that and using Winfast PVR program to view TV.

Pretty good & user friendly. Set up for "composite" on the connection / signal type - this will pick up your av signal

I need help.I got a tv/capture card (gigabyte) but i cant seem to get it connect to my dstv decoder.I got tv and radio and can also cature videos from my camera.I am using PowerCinema to view tv.
