Need some help.

Here is my setup.

SATcr LNB connected to a HDPVR in living room. This is the old HDPVR, the first ones to be released with the 4 Tuners.

From HDPVR decoder, RF out connects to to another TV in the main bedroom. Everything works fine.
I make use of a remote blasters to change channels on my DSTV. Now the problem is, since both TV's are Samsung TV's, when switching off the TV in the bedroom it turns on the TV in the living room. Not cool.

To get around this problem, I bought the DSTV TVlink. Connected it to the TV in the main bedroom, but for some reason the light does not come on, I enabled TVLink on my HDPVR but still no power on the TV link. Please help. Guy at HiFi Corp said the TVLink will work on all decoders (maybe just wanted to make a quick buck). So its either thats its not compatible with my decoder or the cable doesnt give any power.

Hi,

Do you have any splitters between the TV's ? Some of the splitters don't allow power to pass through thus blocking the 12V.

Also did you enable the TVLink on the decoder setup?

Also you can go look at this Xtraview setup guide. http://forum.dstv.com/showthread.php?t=3919

That's helped me a few times already.

Good luck.

Regards
Ryan
