TV's with integrated DSTV now support

Hi

I'm using DSTV now on my PC quite a lot, and I was wondering if it was possible to load the DSTV Now app directly onto a smart TV?

I know there are media boxes, and I could also go the CC route, but specifically curious about loading it direct on a Smart TV

Anyone know?

You may be able to use the website with the browser on the TV. Pretty much no chance of the app working, this is DSTV after all, they seem to take pride in how few devices their app can run on.

Note also that rooted media boxes are problematic for the DSRV Now app

This would be ideal.... Then you can just download DSTV Now from the Google App Store....

I really don't want to stuff around with a media box or a CC

These streaming devices have become so small it really isn't a big deal.

I've got a TV with Android. You cannot get the DSTV now app and Showmax don't work cause it is believed to be rooted.
Also as per most Android devices it doesn't get many updates

Skyworth G6 series comes preinstalled with official AndroidTV.
You can install the DSTV Now app from the store.
