Twitters stop tweeting

Barely a peep is heard from most Twitter members despite the soaring popularity of the micro-blogging service, according to a pair of freshly-released reports

I don't think the interface is really a problem, there's loads of replacements available.

The stats only show that the majority of users don't say anything. The rest of the report goes on to clearly make a distinction of how more vocal users have more followers which makes sense considering that you'd rather follow someone who actually says something. I wasn't actually suprised by any of the findings in the report.

The full report is at : http://blog.hubspot.com/Portals/249/sotwitter09.pdf

It needs a different interface, using a browser to "twitter" sucks.

My lovely NEW Apple Iphone 3G has the app its so great & btw the FB app. After my laptop was stolen I didnt think I could never be completely mobile again but since I have this Iphone I ask myself WHO NEEDS A LAPTOP? :D

That's because Oprah joined... and so did the rest of the stay at home mothers worldwide. Of course they joined without knowing what its about or how to use it. That's the majority that you don't hear a peep from.

I liked Twitter the way it was a few months ago.

Why would you want to limit yourself to 140 characters when SMS offers you 20 more? And that 140 characters is all you can do on twitter! I have said it before and I will say it again, twitter is for twits, if you can live inside 140 characters then good for you. It seems a lot of people realise they actually have a bigger life than 140 characters.
