I have an old old graphics card with a yellow TV-T output on it, which I assume is an output. I also have a geforce 8500GT in my machine.
I was wondering if i put the old card in the machine as well, will i be able to use it to output video to my VCR then through into my TV. It's an old TV so has no RCA inputs. I can't do that with the Geforce as i would need to buy an adapter I'm guessing, as the TV is too old.

My question is will both graphics cards work together? and would i be able to output video through it.

Just asking if maybe someone has tried or experienced it done before I open up my entire pc.

Thanks :)

how old is the card?? cause its probably not pci-e and an 8500GT is probably pci-e, basically your answer is no, you don't have an agp slot on the mobo

I think it might be possible if you have 2x PCI-E graphics cards and a sli/crossfire mobo. Have you tried google?

Yep the 8500GT is pci-e, the other one is just pci as far as i know, i could be wrong.
I have googled but it's mostly dual view monitors and later models of TV which would be easier to remedy.

Sorry about the bump, but can i get a dvi to rca cable and attach it to my tv and my graphics card, to watch movies on my TV instead on pc.
Or is it different signals that need to be converted? and a simple cable won't help.

Thanks

No u cant do it.... get a tv card..

bwahahaha! he's talking about output :D

Pseudz - you can connect your TV if you have the right cable, but AFAIK, you can only output to EITHER your monitor or TV - not both......unless you have a x-fire/sli setup.

1 card = 1 output (dvi OR vga OR s-video/etc)

lol I understand that now... my previous post was a different thing I'm trying to find out opposed to my 1st post.

What I want to know is if I buy a dvi to rca cable, can I connect it to the dvi port on my card (say i don't have a monitor for example) and then connect rca to my tv and then ouput it to there as my display.
Can that be done or does the signal that comes out the dvi need to be converted before it can be seen correctly by the tv through rca?

Hope I explained myself clearly lol
Thanks

if it's a DVI-to-RCA converter, it will do what it say's - Convert it to work from a DVI Source to a RCA Output.

I'm not sure about what cables converters exist, but if it does, it should work.

I've ran a vga or S-video(can't remember which) to an RCA before and i'm currently running a DVi-to-HDMI cable.

Don't worry, it will work - easy peasy.
