I think I've asked this before... and I think I found it can't be done.

But is there a way I could have 2 sim cards on the same account? Something like if they do a sim swap, but as a sim clone, instead?

The reason is that I have a HTC TyTN II, which I love, but is sometimes a bit big to carry around. I'd love to have a tiny phone that I can just slip into my pocket, but which is linked to my main account (and has the same phone number, in case someone wants to call me). I know I could just take the sim out of my HTC and into the small phone, but I have a feeling that they're not meant to be switched so often and I'm worried that hinges and things might break with continuous use - plus, it's so inconvenient.

Any ideas?

U used to be able to do it?
Ghosting your current sim for use in another phone, my dad used to use one for his car phone, had same number in his cellphone.. so im sure it can be done...

It's called Twin-SIM or Dual-SIM and have been around for ages. Think we created it in the days when car-kits became popular.

Basically you get two SIM's (one for each phone) and though they have different numbers, both numbers will route to the last phone that got switched on. So your buddies can still call you.

Here's how it works:

- Get a second SIM on your account.
- Stick it in your second phone.
- Make sure only one phone is on at a time.
- Irrespective of which phone is on, if someone calls you on your normal number, that phone will ring.

Exactly what you want. ;)

Aah! I've heard of dualSIM, but didn't make the connection between that and what I wanted. Great, thanks!

I have this for 2 cellphones that I use..

Only problem is that my twin-sim card doesn't have access to my the internet... I've never queried this before, as it doesn't really bug me..

That is exactly what I've been looking for!!!

I'm not too keen to take my iPhone with me when I go partying, rather slip my Nokia 6210 in my pocket.

I'm off to Vodashop tomorrow. :)
