I cannot remember if India are still available, but if you are wanting high milers, you usually cannot go wrong with a Michelin

Ten years is a VERY long time for a set of tyres, personally I wouldnn't trust them at all.
From Michelin:
After 5 years or more of use, this examination should be carried out at least once a year. Where necessary, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations on replacing the original equipment.

As a precaution, if tyres have not been replaced in the 10 years following their manufacture date*, it is advisable to replace them with new tyres even if they seem to be fit for use and have still not reached the legal limit for wear.

How well do they grip, handle on wet roads, how noisy etc. are these tyres?

I fully agree with the old tyre story. They may have lasted a long time, but the rubber deteriorates, and you are taking your life in your hands.
