Delivery drivers using Uber Eats feature to steal meals

Uber Eats' eight-minute delivery timer allows drivers with ill intent to steal orders at the customer's expense.

Many users have complained that drivers frequently start the eight-minute timer before they arrive at a complex's gate, while some have reported their driver setting the timer before they leave the restaurant.

I just love paying R100 for a R70 burger on here and not getting it. Honestly dont know why anyone still uses these services.
They keep emailing me discounts and I keep unsubscribing and yet I still get the discount emails. I have marked it as spam on my mail client, yet they keep sending mails.

When they do have specials, its not bad. Basically the same as paying the price at the store but with delivery.

Well... this morning my debit card got charged R369.30 by UberEats with my card never having left my possession and having never even installed the UberEats app.

Uber Eats is included in the Uber app.
Have you ever used Uber?

When I order Uber Eats, I start walking towards the restaurant so I catch the driver half way. Then I jump him, grab the package from the moving vehicle, rip it open, and feast on the contents right there in the streets.

Stop using these THIEVES.

Simple.
Drivers must pay the stores.
Customer pays driver.
This is how Mr. Delivery used to work back in the day. The driver received a float when shift started, went to pick up orders and paid the restaurants, then received cash plus tip on deliveries. End of shift you returned the float to Mr D.

Then they going to strike, burn destroy! Because they demand Job and Salary increases.

Easy solved.. Get off your ass and go buy your own food from the shop.. Lazy people.
Even if I go to the place 100m down the road, to walk there, order, wait, and walk back takes ~30min of my lunch break. If I order from anywhere 30min before my lunch break, I can receive my food right as I go on break, eat it and then still have 50min of my break remaining to do whatever else I want.

It isn't laziness, it is convenience and making better use of my time.

Although I never use Uber Eats since I place very little trust in the Uber company. I prefer to use Mr D.

Yeah no.

Make your own lunch and stop eating takeout every day or you gonna get sick.
