Yes, me too lol!Welllll excuse me, mr Nandos burger meal... Us Plebians get Pedros burger meal and chips for like R60
Is your food cold every time it arrives?Pedros half chicken and chips or paella rice is about R75 if you buy in store, the Uber markup is about R35, plus service R5 and delivery R15 so grand total R130, almost double the price, crazy!!
I'd go and order at store directly, but closest shop is about 15km away...
I've stopped ordering from most places whose markup is extortionate. Harder and harder to find anything half decent or of value without paying a hefty markup. Is your food cold every time it arrives?
Even if I go to the place 100m down the road, to walk there, order, wait, and walk back takes ~30min of my lunch break. If I order from anywhere 30min before my lunch break, I can receive my food right as I go on break, eat it and then still have 50min of my break remaining to do whatever else I want.
It isn't laziness, it is convenience and making better use of my time.
Although I never use Uber Eats since I place very little trust in the Uber company. I prefer to use Mr D.
This. And only use shops that do direct delivery.Yeah no.
Make your own lunch and stop eating takeout every day or you gonna get sick.
I used Uber eats quite a bit. I am also a Uber one member which in my opinion is 100% worth it. Even if you only order maybe 2-3 a month. You make that money back in 1 order.
I don't use them to order anything accept specials. You can get some decent food at good prices. I once ordered also Rebels pizza for the family that visited me. Got a bunch off as they have a 30% off offer always running and free delivery with uber one. Saved R100+ on just that one order
I've ordered and a few times didn't get my meal. Each time I was fully refunded.I just love paying R100 for a R70 burger on here and not getting it. Honestly dont know why anyone still uses these services.
