I like that it will ship with Gnome Shell 3.2 as an alternative to Unity
unless you use an ATI graphics card - I installed shell and had artefacts all over my menus- a common problem according to a google search.
u are talking about Gnome Shell in 12.04 development version, right? If you tried installing Gnome Shell in 11.10, then yes, you will experience that problem. Unity and Gnome Shell for some reason do not gel well.
If you want Ubuntu (without Unity) but a good rendition of Gnome Shell in 11.10, install PinguyOS 11.10 (beta right now, but stable).
