So, it's been a few weeks since Ubuntu 13.04 was released.

I'm still running 12.10.

Been wanting to update tot he latest version - however, I would like to just get some actual user feedback.

Who has upgraded and is it worth while to do so, so soon after it's release?

It wouldn't install on my PC, so I'm still on 12.10.

I did the upgrade through Update Manager - haven't noticed too much difference... definitely slightly more polished UI, maybe slightly smoother too. No issues to report from my end.

Using 13.04 since it's release - no issues so far. It's a bit faster/smoother than 12.10 & seems lighter on resources overall.

Only problem I have with 13.04 is that it takes longer to boot and shut down than the 10.04 it replaced on my system.

Do any of you use windows programs through wine etc. or are you dedicated to linux software?
I use wine and XP in virtualbox.
my problem with ubuntu is assuming that everyone has internet, hey
What do you mean? What doesn't work without an internet connection (besides the obvious; web browser, email, etc.)?

Installed it this weekend on my Proliant microserver with Asus ATI GPU. Could not get sound to work over HDMI. Installed Linux Mint 14 and now it is working great....even without propriety drivers.

Well, I am using Gnome desktop no Unity.

Other than a minor speed boost it seems like a lot of the updates are "under the hood" then.

Might give it a try next weekend, however, my current system is almost flawless for what I am using it for, so I see no real need to change.

I upgraded over the weekend - nothing too different.

Running it since Friday.. also no issues yet. New Samsung 8 notebook (WIPED IT) and all hardware works like a charm from the get go

I spoke too soon. Sierra Wireless modem crashes the modem manager every time I insert it.

Been using it since launch without a single hassle. However, I only use it as my file server and download slave, so nothing more than the odd VNC to check up on my downloads.

why not just run a headless box with command prompt only? that's the LEAST resource intensive you'll ever get, no need for a full GUI in your case

My Linux box serves as the following:

1. Download Slave
2. Streams media to the Xbox
3. File storage

I may just leave it on 12.10 for now. :)
