UBUNTU for AMD 64 bit

Hi there are there any ubuntu users in PE? i am looking for a copy to load on my AMD Athlon 3000+.

The download i made does not load. And i am currently using ver 5.10. LOL! So i have turned the AMD clock down to 800 Mhz! It is not doing to badly but does crash a few times a day. Ha.. Ha...

Please PM me if anyone can help? i have ordered the cd`s but dont know how long they will take to get here.

I can SpeedServices a copy of Kubuntu for AMD64 to you for the cost of a blank + postage? You'd probably have it by Friday

Or, if you have ADSL, open an Axxess local-only prepaid account and download it from the local mirrors. This would cost just R12/Gb and takes 6-7 hours

WOW! i got the CD`s and have ubuntu running thanks so much for all the effort flarkit! You are a star!

Downloaded all the updates and after a few crashes and resetting the AMD`s bios to full power it is up and running. Now i can surf again!
