I don't really care where the money comes from,
So where must it come from ?

I don't really care where the money comes from,
I don't really care where the money comes from, as long as the poor get a chance at a good education as well
So where must it come from ?
Sure. no argument here. I just wonder why these rent a mob layabouts don't direct their anger in the right places instead of disrupting the university.
Taxes, cross subsidization of fees, bursaries, etc
Cross subsidization?
Ah, yes. Good old entitlement.
Universities have always been the location for protest by students
I'm entitled?
Lol. So that makes it right then? What are they asking for?
Taxes, cross subsidization of fees, bursaries, etc
I don't know. Are you?
But cross subsidisation reeks of entitlement. Why should someone who works hard and saves for their kids education be responsible for someone who doesn't?
It is their fault the system is broken? Why must they pay and if they can't, why must they miss out because the fees are now too high? This is governments area, not other parents.
They are protesting against the size of the increase in fees. But odd that you're commenting in this thread if you don't even know that...
Yes. The only reason people are poor is because they don't work hard and don't save enough.
You are welcome to attend a different university if you don't like the cross subsidization or even better yet, organise a protest against this practice. Good luck with that.
I, however, don't mind it at all
Duh! Of course I know.
I'm asking you why the actual fsck would it cost a black working class student any more or less than any other class or colour of student?

What? I assume you're asking why the increase affects mainly black students? That's because their parents are statistically massively poorer

The management of UCT has repeatedly used a pretend concern for the fees of black working class students to justify its refusal to pay its workers a living wage,”
“Yet, at the same time, the poorest UCT student (sic) has to pay out of their own pocket to attend university,”
