UEFA Champions League

nope the reason they are the only team called THE whateva is because its from back in the day and had with war times, all weapons and that sorta thing where put in THE arsenal

derekc u take it wrong again this is banter and its good for the forums i think :)

yes arsenal have had their problems but so have untired and chelsea but they have managed to keep a good record

since arsenal moved into their new stadium they cannot do well there i think they liked the small pitch they used to play on

Well, if you are going to come here and rip other teams to shreds then it is only fair that you tell us whom you deem worthy of support.

It is Arsenal, no?
Hi hj2k_x, I have already mentioned that I'm no great fan of English football but I do sympathise with Arsenal because of the way they play football. Sometimes it's difficult to avoid English football because of all the media hype it gets.

yes and its just a nick name, like 'the reds' the club name is "Arsenal Football Club"

They've only lost 1 game at Emirates killadoob....its got more to do with a transition stage than the home stadium..

Chelsea is a different 400,000,000 million pound story.. Arsenal now is mostly raw talent spotted and groomed by Wenger, with a bit of experience mixed in (Gallas, Lehmann, Rosicky, Gilberto) but even Rosicky is new to the premier league..

This season was all about injuries to experienced players..

I bet you if you ask Wenger if he has any regrets about this past season he will say none, its given him the opportunity to find future stars amongst teenagers, Denilson, Walcott (did you see his goal against Chelsea in the carling cup?), Fabregas, Diaby (the new Viera) and one of the most underrated of them all, Gael Clichy..

Gattuso Knocks "Long-Ball" Liverpool

AC Milan's combative midfielder Rino Gattuso has derided Liverpool's "long-ball" tactics ahead of the Champions League final between the two clubs.

zoom - galleria Gattuso, 29, was a member of the Milan side beaten by Liverpool in the 2005 Champions League final defeat in Istanbul.

But he has portrayed Liverpool as an inferior side to Milan's semi-final opponents this season, the Merseyside club's arch-Premiership rivals Manchester United.

Gattuso said: "I feel there is a noticeable difference in talent between Manchester United and Liverpool.

"Liverpool are like an Italian team of 10 years ago. Every ball a long ball.

"All they try to do is defend with everybody behind the ball and one striker.

"United have far more technical players, who are quick and able to do things on the ball. Liverpool do not have those individuals."

Gattuso is eyeing revenge for Mukan's defeat in 2005, when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down at half-time to draw, take the game into extra-tim and then dramatically win the Cup on penalties.

He said: "This final will be different - that I promise. It is important to put the record straight."

I see "The Snarl" is very frank. :)

Ok, so you are a fan of Arsenal. So we can rip you off when they lose...:)

But this weekend I actually want an Arsenal victory ...:)

killadoob
you obviously dont watch any games besides man utd ones.. anyhow, im surprised you missed both games where man utd lost to arsenal this season, and one of them henry wasnt even playing..

sit back and think for a moment, arsenal has 5 strikers available.. the 2 first choices are injured, adebayor was suspended most of the time when they crashed over those few weeks this year.. that leaves baptista who is still struggling to adapt to europe, and aliadiere who hasnt had too many matches and has been suffering from injury..

fabregas is much more of an intelligent player than ronaldo, and hes quite a bit younger.. you can say what you want arsenal might be 4th place atm but man usa hasnt beaten arsenal this season.

man utd went through a similiar transition a few years back..

Wouldn'y you rather lose twice to United and win the league?

yep i was just saying the team isnt as bad as killadoob thinks

nivek im not saying they are the worst team in the prem man

but they are not a top team anymore i think, they got lucky to play in champs league this year

they may only have lost once but how many draws have they had, drawing a home game is almost as bad as loosing, 1 point is not as much as 3 points :)

a team like arsenal should be owning everyone at home and they are not, something needs to change, i dont believe that a team's success should rest soley on henry shoulders, just my thoughts

hj i would take 2 losses to arsenal and then win the prem to be honest

as i said no point beating a big team only 2 loose and draw to the minnows (spelling)

oh lol :o I looked at the uefa website yesterday sometime and saw some countdown for tonight, i was in a rush :D
