Does anyone know if a 6 month standard visitor visa allows for multiple entries into the UK?

On the visa itself it does say multiple entry. Never tried it though on the six month visa, I have a British Passport but for my son we got him a once of Visa - Once and then decided to get him a 10 year tourist visavisa.jpg

RANT ALERT!!!
Applied for 5 standard visitor (6 month) visas. No issues with this part of the process as I expected the type of personal information and documents that would be required. The bookings for biometrics on the other hand was another frustrating money making scheme...

Appointments for biometrics and submission for passports is done through another site - TLScontact (in my case, the Pretoria branch in Menlyn). There was no way possible for me to book 5 family members at the same time using the Self Service option which costs nothing. I was being forced to use the 'flexi time' booking which costs R1850 per applicant.

I ended up booking 3 family members in one time slot and another two in a different time slot later that same day using the Self Service option. An extremely inconveniencing and frustrating experience.

I submitted my visa application yesterday in Cape Town, was pretty smooth and had no issues but will see what happens.

Same happened to me. It's a total scam. When we went there, there wasn't even a queue. I had to go on two separate days and times for my family of 3.

The ironic thing with mine was that even though I had to book two separate time slots on the same day, we all decided to take a chance and go together at the earlier slot and guess what? They processed all our applications. SCAM!!!

The upsell tactics on their website are super strong, I just picked the cheapest thing. Mine was R699, it's getting paid by my company so it's not really a huge deal.

I arrived 30 minutes early as there was no traffic and got a parking right in front of the building. Went in and they said I could just go through, there were like 3 other people doing things on the UK side.

Got my passport back today with the 6 month visitor visa. Took them 4 days, was ready on Friday.

This must have been the most painless visa application I've ever done.

That’s super quick. Normally it’s around two weeks.

Congrats. Not your trip!

Any idea how long it takes to get a standard visitor visa these days?

If you have been to the UK before and returned without issue within the timeframe that you specified, it tends to hasten the process quite a bit.
