UK Visa Question

Hi all,

So I'm nearly on my way to get a Visa for the UK. Now I hear you need to have finalized your plane ticket already. Doesn't look like one of the requirements. Anyone that can confirm this for me please.

The following documentation is mandatory:

* Valid passport
* Completed and signed Visa Application Form.
* Proof of payment of the visa fee for your visa category. You can find out more information about visa fees on this [website].
1 clear, passport sized (45mm x 35mm), color photograph. Details of specifics of photograph requirements can be found on this [website]

Generally they advise you NOT to purchase your air ticket, in case the visa isn't granted.
