Doesn't go as far as that, but i remember quite a lot of time was spent filming "chase scenes" that where then edited in with animals standing in a boma. lets just say the only thing that was being chased when filming was the clean air :D
 
I love that show too. That dude is legend... I cant wait for next week, when he is flying into JHB aiport and taking a taxi to the centre of soweto and then trying to find his way out...

I missed last night episode but on Sunday he was in Nambia. He found a poffadder and killed it and demonstrated how you can take a bight of the snake while its raw. He simply took a nice big bite... skin, bones, derems, alles! Legend!!!

Dhu u oos - Discovery channel is for documentary - not sci fi. In fact ,death star did appear in a documentary about sci fi . Get it ? I don't think so. Read again . repeat
 
Hmmm

I think his show's taken a wrong turn somewhere...

i remember watching it when it 1st came out and he displayed excellent survival techniques etc... and when it came to food he would spend hours preparing the nicest fish dish using mud and leaves to "bake" it etc.

It used to be all about how the average man would have to behave in order to survive an accidental trip in the wild. Now it seems to be all about how extreme he can get and what outrageous things he can eat that no ordinary man would ever consider.

I'd rather watch McGyver.

I never said he does what he claimed but I have yet to see photos of him drinking a Long Island ice tea while he is suposed to be in the swamps :p

Anyway like I said Im not that gullible to believe everything is real. I see it more as a How-to-guide.

Yeah, in the Namibia episode he showed some plants wich you can eat and how to get fresh water from urine/seawater.

Gru's not allowed even close to South America since the last Amazon debacle where he chained himself to a tree. Thats where the shrapnel marks come from...:p

And as for Pooky, well the only reason I might take him with was if we were expecting a plane crash and had one too few parachutes...
 
Its a great show even if some of it is staged - I cant recall the wording but there is a disclaimer to that effect at the beginning of each episode.

I do enjoy the show as well - regardless of the staging as well. I wonder if he has ever contemplated a few Fear Factor episodes...?
