Also watching the news, sounds like they singing the Arabic version of "We are the champions" :)

So finally the UNSC has stopped sitting on their hands? Feels like the decision has come 2 weeks too late. I hope not. Perhaps one of those plans will miss the target like many of this US drones deem to and drop a toffee on Brother Leader's shack. Oh well, there's always hope.

Does he still live in a tent as he alleges ? :)

Napalm it then ;)

Edit: it would of course be an accident just in case some might be thinking I'm excessively violent in my thoughts

So what exactly does this no fly zone entail? Are UN forces only limited to taking out Gaddafi's Airforce in the air? Are they allowed to drop ordinance on military ground targets? If so, all is good and well until the first civvie is inadvertently / accidently killed by UN forces (then the blame game starts).

little bit late isn't it? The rebel factions have been almost completely wiped out.

By delaying and ‘sitting on their hands’ for so long the effort required to resolve the problem has quadrupled. Still...at least the farting around, passing-the-buck crap has stopped and something is happening.

About bloody time! Now get over there and bomb the **** out of "brother leader's" little tin-pot army! Can't wait to see the first footage of burnt out tanks and armoured personnel carriers. Oh and they will be bombing them, oh yes. They need to take out all air-defense systems. What qualifies as an air-defense system? Anything that can mount a heavy machine-gun, which conveniently includes most armoured vehicles. :D

Good point, air defence systems give them an excuse to go after ground targets.
Is that a stinger missile Gaddafi is holding? Better bomb him to be safe ;)

It's sad how these things take so long to happen. While rebels and civilians are being slaughtered, the old farts in the UN are fiddling with their hearing aids and making 10 trips to the bathroom or whatever they do to avoid doing work.

It seems so (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12770467):

The UN resolution is so broad it allows military action against all threats to civilians - so could even involve bombing Col Gaddafi's forces on the ground if deemed necessary.

The resolution means they could also attack Libyan helicopter gunships as well as Libya's fixed-wing aircraft, most of which are Soviet-era fighters as well as some more modern French Mirage F1s.

You prefer a cowboy approach?

Now that everyone is wetting their panties over nuclear powerstations melting, we need more oil. So here we go. More "humantarian" intervention in oil rich countries. Hehe. And the stupid Germans. Shutting down their power stations and effectivly telling the Libyan rebels to get stuffed. Seems they are betting on Gaddafi.

No worries they have plenty of coal and can buy energy from their E.U satellites. The ever obedient German citizen will cough the cash with another round of tax hikes to pay for it all....

They already pay the second highest electricity prices in the E.U. They doesn't include paying for the Greeks electricity as well lol
