unable to access myadsl

Since this evening when I came in I have been unable to access this forum on my sentech connection, I am currently writing this via my mtn/bluetooth connection - any likelyhood that sentech is blocking this site?

Hi noswal, I've had the same problem. I've got a work around though. Download JAP (http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de) and use their overseas server to access the sites. I'm currently sending this via their anonymous servers.

Hi, no, cant get uunet either. Same thing also running Mr Beeps openweb proxy which reports my ip address as being in Virginia USA, but streaming audio is fine - oops shouldnt have said that

I can access all sites using JAP. I've configured it to use Firefox and left IE and Opera to use my standard settings.

why would you guys want to dial up and waste more money when all you need to do is use JAP. Its free and very quick to install and setup. When things are back to normally, just dont use it or uninstall it. If you're paranoid about people watching where you surf or local sites tracking you, continue using it

I downloaded it, installed it but makes no difference

Now a few minutes after writing that all seems to be back to normal with a direct sentech connection

Came back here as well. My early morning outage mentioned earlier was in fact caused by the City of Tshwane and not Sentech

I was outta touch for around 2 days- and it removed access to mybroadband.*, myadsl.*, standardbank.* (!!) and, oddly enough, have2have.*- all of which are .co.za sites.

's funny how when you're not oeverly worried about access to something, it doesn't worry you but when you CAN'T have it- now it's a problem!

Along the topic of not connecting to places, I still can not connect to a local shadowfire IRC server eg za.shadowfire.org , anyone else? Also, playing war3 online has become seriously laggy....even for a sentech connection.
