Hi guys,

On my BB 8520, I can't seem to compose a new e-mail.

When I goto composing of a new e-mail, I type in the e-mail, subject, text but I can't actually SEND.

Now, let's say you send me a e-mail, I can reply and send, but I can't do a new e-mail from scratch and send, there is actually no SEND option.

Am I missing something?!?

Now yesterday, I took my phone to the Vodacom shop and they said I have to take my phone to Vodacare to have the software flashed with new firmware - however, according to the BB desktop software, there is no new software for the phone.

Ideas? comments? suggestions? thoughts? :wtf:

EDIT: The problem is not limited to my BB, my girlfriend is also having the exact same problem.

Make sure the address is typed in...

I check my 8520 now and noticed that if the "To:" field is empty then there's no send option... Only Once you enter the address then the Send options is available...

Just did this now;

Entered a "To:" address and entered "Test" as the subject and some random text in the body and I have no option to "send"

Clearly there is a problem.

Just for interest sake;

My software on my BB 8520 is v5.0.0.592 (Bundle 1096, Platform 5.2.0.64)

Tried a battery pull? Google searches don't show much wrt solutions, but you are not alone with this problem...

I'm assuming this is a BIS? Have you tried deleting the CMIME service book associated to the email address and then resending it from within your Email Setup?
If it's a BES address there's a slightly different approach.

Writer's block? :twisted: :p
:D
