Unable to connect: Port use closed

This is a contract 3g usb hsdpa huwaeii E220 modem.

it picks up 2g and 3g, either connection type dont work

Everytime i attempt to connect, it says 'Connection failed, could not establish a connection with the remote server, the port in use is closed'

anyone got anything valuable to offer?

Which color lights are blinking? And how fast? Is it one blink every few seconds? Or is it a green rapid blink?

Put the SIM in a cellphone and dial a number. Do this to check if your account is maybe suspended.

Its blinking green once every 3-5 sec.

according to the sms's on the VMC sms utility, the account was softlocked, then 20min later, unlocked

Then its possible that its still softlocked. It can take up to 24hours or more.

Try it again later, and if it still does that contact Vodacom Customer Care to confirm.
