From this morning I've been getting 403 Forbidden.

"We're sorry...
... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. "

...when searching Google.

Am I a victim of Telkom's messed up caching/proxy server again?

Anyone else getting the same error?

And yes, I've checked for spyware, viruses, etc. None found.

The same thing happend to me about 1week ago when I tried to google using OpenBrowse proxy, I was also unable to browse wikipedia.

But seemed to only last that 1day, maybe you should try and restart your router to get a new IP. Just switch it off and wait about 10mins and turn it back on, that should garuantee a new IP.

Happened to me too just now... had to switch to google.co.za

Some other fellow Seff Effican must be donnerring google stukkend :D. I believe that due to Telkom's transparent proxy thingy most of us ADSL users appear to originate from the same ip address so they see us all as abusers....

I fixed it the other day by simply not using the OpenBrowse Proxy (which I believe is Saix based?), and using my straight IS connection(which is capped so it's slow).

But it must be related to Saix!

*sigh* Maybe Telkom hired a few hackers to screw with the most visited web-sites like google(which everyone uses to get everywhere) to cut down on usage!

Kinda like closing the door to all other doors ;)
