Unable to send SMS - Autopage+CellC

I am on Cell C with Autopage (don't ask - part of the ex Nashua crowd)

Internet, calls and receiving sms is working but I can't send any sms's. Anyone else suffering from this strange problem?

A colleague of mine is on Cell C and on phoning their call centre was told that Cell C SMS is down and that about 400 people had already called in about it so far. Their technicians are apparently working on it.

Thanks for this - I called Autopage and they said I have to take my phone in to be tested. Got no time for that nonsense when everything worked fine this morning! I tweeted Cell C and they said they would look into it but no response yet.

Your info gives me the patience to wait it out - thank you!

I know it is an archaic service, but with 200 free a month on my line, I use my handset to SMS quotes to client's who do not have email or fax. Now people are replying and I can't answer them!!

This just fuels my hate for Cell C - worst mistake I ever made was porting from Vodacom to save my company a few R100's a month!

How bad has it been? Well next year May I couldn't actually care about getting a new handset - I just want to PORT!!!

I never ever had a problem with CellC(For the past 13years) until about 3 weeks now.

My internet speed is limited at 0.5mbps...

2GB per month on the S4 deal back in May 2013 - have never managed to not carry over less than a GB and boy have I tried hard!

The worst part is,
It is smartphone's we are using and there is nothing smart about them if you have slow internet speed...

In the post office today. Full signal with H+. Could not send whatsapp messages. Not even pictures, just text :-/

Maybe that's why they are speeding up LTE roll out, so we will be able to send out WhatsApp messages

Yeah, mine working again. CellC customer care phoned to apologise. Suppose they are trying.
