We have discovered that someone has been using our adsl account without our knowledge in two different cities. We have line numbers of those users and I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and what steps to take
to prosecute the offenders?

Phone your ISP, change your password, then reconfigure your router and change the default admin user password on your router.

If you really want I guess you could phone those numbers and ask "wtf?".

Do you really want to waste thousands of rands attempting to prosecute someone for a few gig's of data usage?

have done so already, I have the line numbers but nobody answers ;) It is my clients wish to proceed with this in the legal way

You got their numbers, rather sign them up for all kinds of freaky sex toys & scam emails.

Better idea is to just give the number to telemarketers

Given that they don't answer when you phone, they probably only use it for ADSL. Open a case of theft with SAPS (good luck with that btw)

You will probably find they are not using the telephone line, you have to take a line with adsl. May not even be plugged in, i don't use mine.

@Morphzan Ask the ISP to link the ADSL accounts only with the client's phone numbers. So if someone in the future try to use their ADSL account details somewhere else, they won't be able to.
