Ok i need DSL for 1 - 2 months to download some "Linux distros".

Mweb has a good deal with 2 months free but doesnt include line rental on 1mb.

what the easiest way to obtain dsl and cancel again after 2 months. Porbably better to rent through an ISP due to telkoms poor customer service

I already have a land line installed

Maybe Afrihost at R297 p.m hows the service and internets to get those linux distros?

Or maybe stop finding ways to cheat the system?

Sign up to 1meg ADSL and not cancel?

I dont want to cheat the system

I just want 1 mb adsl for 2 month for which im willing to pay

Any way im going to try out Afrihost on a month to month basis. they just need 30 days notice to cancel

But why cancel?

But why cancel?

Cause not everyone downloads the whole internet and I do it also when I need to download whole lot of series/movies (new ones or old) then I cancel it again since my Telkom 20 gigs is enough for normal monthly usage and small downloads.

No point in having uncapped always if you don't use it to the max every month

Axxess is probably your best bet despite the current issues (depends on how many "linux distros" you need :)) you can sign up month to month, credit cards & EFT accepted.

i went with afrihost. lets see how it pans out

Just need to download a few things and then my 10gb 8ta is fine for day to day browsing etc

MWeb does have the option to include line rental on 1Mbps (I changed mine yesterday).

I also thought it didn't (as per the website), but was told that was just during the period of Telkom transition from 384K to 1Mbps (to avoid confusion).
