Uncapped ADSL made for Gaming

Does anyone know if this account it worth going for? Is it a full uncapped account?

I normally use my internet for the following (rated in terms of priority):

1. Gaming
2. Browsing/ YouTube/ etc
3. Downloading

I am currently with Mweb. I have periods where the ping spikes all the way from 19ms (Limpopo to JHB) to the high hundreds, and sometimes thousands.

You can understand how this would be inconvenient, especially in FPS games.

This was the case with my uncapped Mweb 4Mbps account, and my 2GB WA fail-safe.

I have determined that the problem lies with Telkom's DSALM, as 3 modems do exactly the same thing.

Would OpenWeb be able to get Telkom to pull their fingers out of their arses and do something about it, bearing in mind that there are only 3 DSL subscribers attached to the exchange?

How would this be an advantage for PS3 international servers?
 
I'm very pleased with my Gamers King 4Mbps, which I use for gaming and downloading.

In reality I'm not sure there's anything that really sets it above the rest for gaming (my pings are always excellent), but it's great value for money and the downloads fly after hours so I'm happy.

Hi Flatspin

Unfortunately, if you have exchange issues, is kinda like asking: "how long is a piece of string?"

It would probably be easier to move house or go with these guys URL="http://www.kawuleza.com/"]http://www.kawuleza.com/[/URL]

They are wireless, I don't know much about them but their feedback thread doesn't sound too bad. Only problem is that unotelly DNS is a big IF with them.

:( Would like one of these but need to give a calender months notice on downgrading. On Gold Uncapped and looking to save a buck or 2.
 
I would have signed up up immediately if the website had the functionality to start the account next month only. It is almost mid month and although I can cancel and leave my current ISP by next month, I can't pay for two ISPs at the same time.

i mailed them, they gave me a trail account and reserved one for me for the 1st of August, so just drop them a mail and i think you could sort something out.

The mega ADSL uncapped promo is platinum rated after hours, while the Gamers King is gold rated. I don't know what the difference during the day would be or if gaming would be "prioritised" 24/7 like on the Gamers King.
