Uncapped + Future 8mb Line FAQ?

4mb / 8mb etc

As soon as the 8mb/10mb/12mb lines are available, MWEB will release a new package to accommodate those with that speed. Of course you will need to pay more than double the amount of the 4mb uncapped for it

Surely this depends on the distance from the exchange? If you are more than 2km from the exchange, you probably won't get 4mb - Most people live more than 2km from their closest exchange and therefore will not get 4mb - so why are we even bothering about 4mb if it is just an unrealistic expectation?

Well it depends
Just about everyone in Randburg (and Sandton I think) is close to their DSLAM since the main infrastructure is fibre so they have to put in a MINI DSLAM at the local junction box

For me for instance there is less than 250 meters to the DSLAM
