Who is the best ISP to contact regarding a connection like this. Its for a bussiness on the West Coast (Langebaan)

From number 173 which is cheapest at R1950 to number184 at R2359 per month incl line rental. I know the Telkom ISP is fully unshaped and uncapped. But if you would not like to deal with them I would suggest Mweb or Openweb. Afrihost is brilliant as capped account but I see they have a unshaped business option at 4mb there. But then I would rather go for a 10mb account. Hope this helps.

Another thing that may help is by looking at the past broadband speed tests conducted here for competitions or otherwise.

Latest one is linked in my sig and gives a clear indication of performance. Pricing you will just have to look above or do some searching on their respective websites :D.

I will give you a tip, if you take a look at those with 10MB lines using capped / uncapped 4MB accounts, you will see they get 5MB+ speeds, this is not guaranteed but nevertheless shows that you can try the 4MB accounts...

Good MOrning Space_Kriek, please provide me your contact details and I will have one of our consultants call you to assist you in finding the ideal MWEB product.

Don't forget throttling. Some are very restrictive during particular hours, which removes the benefit of uncapped if you have to watch how much data is used and what time it is.

Doesnt the fact that its a "unshaped" and uncapped service mean that there are no restrictions on your data?

Unshaped means that all protocols receive the same priority on the network.
Uncapped, well, let's not go there. (Do note that most uncapped offerings overseas have a threshold too).

There's a reason business uncapped is more expensive than home uncapped. If you need it for business, get a business account.

Ok, so would a business solution offering 4MB Uncapped and Unshaped be better, all round, then a home solution offering Uncapped and shaped for 1. Streaming 2. Gaming 3. Browsing 4. Usenet?

Much better. Especially for day time use.
