Hi All,

Does anyone know of a Garage/car wash place whereby you can DIY or let them clean underside of car in engine bay, due to a oil leak the one side is full of muck/grease old oil and I want to get it to a place whereby u can stand underneath the car and use high pressure spray to clean it properly.

Anyone know of a place?

There's one in the Northern Suburbs that puts your car on a lift.

I don't know which city you're in, but there's one next to the filling station at the north entrance to Northgate which does that.

The deeper question is WHY?

There's a good reason they don't glossy paint the bottom of the car...

Your best bet is to take 2 mobile vehicle ramps to a car wash and arrange an underneath clean.

Surprised the the companies haven't thought of this.

Thx for the replies guys, Northgate is not to far from me - will go check it out.
I don't have mobile ramps or know of anyone who has those.
I just want it cleaned so when I take the car to the mechanic he can see the leak better and fix it.

Better to leave it for the mechanic to clean and find the leak. If you spray high pressure water from underneath it might get into places which can cause way worse problems. Spraying on it's own also won't get rid of built up oil.

Engine cleaner/solvent to remove the grease and grime and a pressure hose to wash off, voila!

Hasn’t explained the need as to why it needs to be clean at least not in the first post.

Even with a leak as was already mentioned there is no real purpose to having the underside of a car cleaned.

It would be akin to painting the back of a cupboard that is being bolted to a wall.
