Understanding WUG

Hey ppl,

Please can someone explain to me what i can do by being a part of this Wireless User Group.Our offices are in Rosebank and we are thinking of creating a link to JHB.
We currently have the following aerial but not sure if it will work.

-2.4 GHz 12 dBi Yagi Antenna with N Female Connector

I have joined the site but still don't understand what we can download and the advantages of being on this link.

Any help will be appreciated.

There is no internet on the WUG and it can't be used for business purposes.
Read the getting started guide (http://www.ptawug.co.za/content_list_11).

I understand that its not for internet purposes ,so what can i use it for ?The guide only shows how to connect but i need to understand whats the benfits of connecting to this service.possibly you can list what type of content is available ?

I think you just really need to want to be a part of the network.

Some people share files and others play games, there is a lot to do and learn.

In Rosebank you will be in a prime position to act as line of sight... so would be cool if you did get setup.
