Hmm... for $20k a month, I'd ****ing do it in a heartbeat. But I can't dive and my welding is kark.

From what I can tell by knowing you from the forum this job is right up your alley - real 'hard man' stuff ;)

A mate of mines dad did this for the Royal Navy - dude had some amazing stories and retired with a Rolex from The Queen!

EDIT: seriously risky job though!

We're in SA. Any job is super risky. HAVE YOU SEEN HOW DAGEROUS THE HIGHWAY TO WORK IS!?:)
 
When I was in high school i wanted to do this. You dive very deep and use tanks filled with a helium mix. Rip currents, hypothermia, nitrogen narcosis, the bends, giant squids, these are not ways in which I plan to die... I know how I want to die.. and that's by accidentally falling into a large vat of molten chocolate and drowning in that... when they pull me out, they are meant to just leave me encased in the chocolate and put me in a cool place...

I knew a couple of these divers and the lifespan of such a diver is not very long. You can only do it for a couple of years.
