as per that topic

in the delivery option of my order, i selected the speed services counter to counter option
Quote:
Sub-Total: R320.00
Speed Services - Counter Delivery (Insured): R87.00
Total (VAT of R49.98 included) : R407.00

Instead my order has been shipped through the normal post office counter to counter service (Tracking Number PA xxx xxx xxx ZA)
Speed Service counter to counter tracking numbers begin with the prefix TC
My order status reflects as Delivered, when it obviously has not arrived.
thus I am still waiting for my order, despite it being shipped last week thursday

FYI, i shipped a small parcel via Speed Services on saturday to Cape Town from KZN on the 23rd of January , and it arrived today.

since i PAID for a speed services delivery, i feel i should be refunded for a service NOT rendered to me

still no reply...

in any case, i picked up the parcel today. it was sent via the 'econo parcel' post office service, and not the 'speed services counter to counter' delivery option that i specified and PAID for

Conclusion : Resolved.. Sybaritic will see more of my business

i saw ur thread on sybaritc
all oders of mine cept 1 wwere collect since my school is a few km away from sybaritic head offices
u`l get ur refund just be patient

I do believe that's quite a bit of price difference between the 2 services. I'd definitely get a refund on the difference. Over-quoted delivery charges should be left on ebay auctions where they belong. However, a credit on your next purchase from them might be best considering how much you might lose now on a bank deposit.

Since you're getting no reply from them on e-mail, why not actually call them?

Speak to a person.

If the one form of communication does not work, then try another.

There seems to be a trend forming with people complaining about supplier service before they've exhausted their communication options.

So have you track the package?

i have it with me. been tracking it through sapo's website and calling the hotline...

what really peeved me off is that on sunday sybaritic sends me an email saying my package was delivered, yet it only arrived at my post office this morning (tuesday)... and on the sybaritic home page i am invited to share my experience via their forum... so thats exactly what i did
25/01/2010 Complete : Delivered Your order is now complete. Thank you for your support.

We would like to invite you to share your experience with Sybaritic and your products ordered with others on our forums here : http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/forum/viewforum.php?f=4 or by reviewing the products you have purchased. After logging into the site, click on an item in your order history on the right hand side, and then select : Write a review on this product!

i was hoping to purchase a radeon 5750 through them, but my money will go to another, and hopefully more honest e-tailer

anybody have experience with rampage-gaming.co.za?

ordinarily i would agree, but since this entire transaction was done online, surely they should be able to attend to my problem online as well... last time i checked an email is cheaper than a phone call... and why have a feedback forum and then not reply?

True. But then why jump the gun and complain here rather than waiting for a reply?

surely 24 hours is enough time for them to attend to my complaint? and again, why have a feedback forum if you dont have staff etc to reply to queries and complaints immediately.. which is kinda the point of an online forum.. instant feedback...

Sometime things just go wrong. I have found Sybaritic responsive and efficient. I have an online business and we generally give excellent service but sometimes when it starts to go bad, it goes BAD!

and all customers should accept being ripped off

yeah right

Try reading his comment in context next time. He's saying it's the OP's loss for giving up on Sybaritic so quick, because if he just stuck it out he'd see that, ordinarily, their service is great. ;)

Like it or not, with Sybaritic you sometimes have to wait longer than 24 hours for a forum reply. Hence the phone call suggestion.

I freaking hate it when people come here and bitch about companies and put them down without so much as a phone call.

You are the kind of customer they do not want anyhow dude. I ordered my cpu with them this week and by accident i selected delivery which i was charged for and paid for, a simple phone call got me the amount as a credit for the next item i buy.

It is actually amazing what something as simple as phone call can get done. Wikk just because something is online does not mean it is instant.

I've had nothing but pathetic service from Sybaritic. Orders delayed, products advertised not available, delivery date lies, and then their first response is always "well do you want to cancel the order?" If I didn't want the product why would I have ordered it, idiot. Not to mention the fact that a contract of sale has already been accepted by them and they're now in breach. Bunch of unprofessional morons. I wont buy there again.

ok
ive bought alot from sybaric never had bad service
it happens
thers like 5 people running sybaric
its kinda tough to deal with all queries soon and fast

Hey Guys. I understand the frustration. I ordered a blu ray drive from them on the 11/01 and it was only delivered on the 20th. They have good prices and the owner is helpfull but they communication sucks. They confirm stock with their supplier then once payment was done the problem started. All in all I think stock is the first problem then their delivery methods are the next. But they are still good guys to deal with. I guess we all are way to excited to receive the goods that we grow impatient.

Alot of other sites do the same thing. As I've mentioned elsewhere I feel that they all list a product as soon as the notification from the supplier arrives and those notifications do not necessarily mean the product is available as yet. I don't know why suppliers do this, but I can but assume it is to gauge some sort of interest in the product so they don't go order in more than would be necessary.

Do these online store owners do this as a full time job or are they being run as sideline services?
