Yup also just got the 8970.. my data transfer to NAS is 10 times faster !!

But if you want to do port forwarding you may run into some probs. NAT loopback is only included in the latest firmware.. so download it , wack the router and you are good to go.. :)

I might have to take you up on that offer, i'm not having a good time with port forwarding on my current
TD-W8961ND.

I could only get it to work with enabling DMZ, not ideal but does the trick, just have to set some extra security on the nas. Thanks for the offer.:)

I didn't do the DMZ.. too risky I think,but could be way wrong as I'm still a novice at this :)
My setup was purely a gaming hosting service.

My PS3 is the only device on DMZ. I had issues way back and this solved it for me. I am not sure if I would put any PC on DMZ though - seems way too risky
