How with normal means how unity know where you have installed how many times what?

Now how would unity know all this? That is how you've installed it, where it has been installed and so on. It's like CPUID/Machine fingerprint all over again.

The engrish is powerful with this one.

This Unity scenarios is a mess though, I see they've already rolled back somewhat and changed their stance.

Lots of game devs have complained and some have already mentioned deleting the game, moving engines etc.

Really dumb move, especially with how popular Unreal Engine 5 is right now.

John Riccitiello is an American business executive who is chief executive officer of Unity Technologies. Previously, he served as CEO, chief operating officer and president of Electronic Arts

Oh...

Anyway I think are going to walk this back, it's backfiring significantly. And just wait until the big guys like MS, Sony and Apple start getting bills from Unity for games that use Unity on their services...not going to be pretty

Even if they make a complete 180, damage has been done.

If I was a dev I would change my engine choice for future projects just to be on the safe side.

What a perfect time for Epic to offer to help port game assets and code and whatnot across to Unreal engine. If they could do that, I could see a lot of devs making the hop.

The guy who came up with this **** idea... now the youngest jnr. VP in the history of the company baby

Unity down the drain?
That's balls. What else is there? Unreal engine? Not as easy to use as Unity

Will have to look at those, thanks

If you wanna piss off this dude, say the following to him:
"You can do Java right? That means you can do Javascript which is superior"
He can actually.
He is pretty skilled. Won't be surprised if he can code C# as well

I'm the dumb one
