Unknown GTA 4/Windows live error

Howzit guys

Small irritating problem, with my internet at home from Emburst, not well known but it works, i cant log on my windows live account in GTA 4, but i can log on in my broweser. The puzzling part is if i use my cell phone as a modem my windows live works fine in GTA 4. Is the port GTA 4 uses being block on my router/at ISP? Thanks in advance

If you are experiencing firewall issues when connecting to LIVE be sure to have the following ports available:

* UDP 88
* UDP 3074
* TCP 3074

Yeah try the port forwarding first on your router, and then if u still can't log in, just ask your isp to unblock those ports. They can't say no.

The ISP wouldn't be blocking those ports - I'm sure it is somewhat illegal although I have heard of instances in the US and Canada where ISPs have essentially crippled Bit Torrent.
