Hrmmm, I would not be surprised if all of the Helpdesk & 21st floor people have ulcers & constant headaches & poor health as a result of all the problems with the iBurst network.
As we know, Shaun has 2 different cell phones, an office phone, and often it is impossible to get through bcos he is already taking calls on all of them at once - or trying not to miss calls. It appears the reason why Shaun asks us to send him an sms & prefers to call us back, is that he cannot possibly take 3 calls all at once. I have experienced this first-hand - send an sms to Shaun and he then calls back when he gets through all the other calls he is taking & making. Now all of this indicates some serious problems if the National Operations Manager has to get that hands on in speaking to customers.
We also know that the Helpdesk fields a lot of calls from customers, hence the long wait time in the call queue.
The more I think about it, it looks to me like the 15th floor has banned all forms of written communication that they perceive to be something that provides a record of what was discussed. If true, it is a huge dumbass thing to do, and only makes more problems & increases workload for the 21st floor. Let the people on the 21st floor do their jobs - which is primarily to communicate with as many customers as possible without ending up sick & tired of the job.
