Unreal Tournament 1999

I think I have the old UT game too and will like to try the online scene. Tried it years ago, but my latency was so bad that I was never worth much.
I have a 4 meg line.

tbh, I haven't played games for years, but would like to have a go at UT.

We played it last night me and TWEAK...Was actually fun except that he is 10 times better than me :D . If you want to join us the easiest was would be to install XFIRE...Google it if you dont have it. It is just a messenger program that has your games into a list and tells you what other people are playing.

Can this game be played in Win 7? Mine is not working gr8 atm. The other problem I have is that because of the patches and maps and the effort to reinstall or download I just copied the complete directory and dumped it after a reinstall, but Xfire does not detect my installation. Is there a way around it or do I need to install the game? It used to work in previous versions of Windows.
 
RoMark u could try VirtualPC from microsoft its free i think, and u can run windows xp inside of it =D

Would be great if we can get more people to play this game with us

I can dump it on one of my XP pc's. I can't find my install cd though. :(

Hello

I bought the Unreal Anthology pack. It contains Unreal, Unreal tournament, Unreal 2 and Unreal tournament 2004. Plus the games are already updated. Picked it up for about R70 at a game store. I had windows Vista and there were no problems with ut install.

Still trying to get more UT players. Or any game that anyone wants to play.
 
Im up for opinions but as long as it isn't Quake Live, the game style must be more than just frags.

I prefer Unreal Tournament Capture the Flag, or Assault so that there can be an element of team play and strategics

Ok I have a couple of suggestions. But I am wondering should we start a new THREAD??? Because I believe people who look at this are just seeing UT 99 and they might be willing to play something else.
 
I still play the original Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition over Hamachi with some friends! Instagib on Morpheus ftw.
