Is this still a thing?

How the heck do you get onto it? I have asked on Twitter, they pointed me to Vodacom business. I can't seem to call their support line,

I think I filled in a contact me form (Just my number) https://help.vodacom.co.za/business/contactus

Any other ideas? Is there still a Vodacom rep on here?
 
Getting an error on that page, but yeah I filled in the form, mailed over to [email protected] and even took a pic of the sim

no responses :(
 
sooooo I got excited, then let down.

Got a reply from escalations, saying mail [email protected] .... yeah they screwed that up

Once i mailed [email protected] , i got a reply saying the service has moved to their Tobi ****..... That thing has not worked once for me.

eventually they just did it, but im not getting a 41. ip anymore.

just leaving it, vodacom is ****en useless
 
Did you receive a service request no. that you can follow up with?
Yes. just waiting for the 24 hours. It already changed by am still getting NAT Type 3.

Dear Customer

The Unrestricted APN will be activated in 24 hours as requested.
Kindly make sure that your connection profile on the Device's software is updated with the new APN (unrestricted).

You should receive an IP address with the following range (41.192.X.X).This can be checked on (https://whatismyipaddress.com/ ) once connected. If this is not the case then you need to ensure that your connection software and firmware is setup correctly.

For all setup enquiries and further assistance regarding advanced device functions such (Port forwarding, Static IP address emulation, NAT setup,Firewall configurations, etc.), please consult with the Data device manufacturer and a Network software specialist.
 
Did anyone get this to work? I think my IP is unrestricted.

Reasons:
My IP is 41.192.x.x
Internet is faster
My ping is higher than normal

I configured my router by enabling UPnP and then proceeded to add ports to port forwarding. My last step was using DMZ but I am still on NAT Type 3 on my PS4.
 
Solution: Vodacom had indeed helped me. Today I decided to change my router to my previous one. Turns out my Alcatel HH72v1 is the problem. I am now using my Huawei B315s with UPnP enabled and NAT setting on Cone. I hope this helps.
 
nope... best bet, move to Airmobile or something,
Vodacom customer support is about as good as their legal team
 
Anyone had success with this recently?

Emailed the form to [email protected] and [email protected] but no success so far.

The call centre are useless. They have no idea what a publicly accessible IP address is.
Had mine activated on the 4 Dec 2023. Took 2 days, and I used the OnlineEscalationSR email with the form and ID attached.

Sent the form with my ID on the 8th already. Still no reply and the call centre has no clue what to do.
