Update Milestone to Froyo 2.2?

Has anyone updated their Motorola Milestone to 2.2 (Froyo). I'm having some issues with my Milestone and I'm wondering if updating it might be a good idea. Aside from the recent issues (Opera Mini not working over EDGE) I haven't had any problems.

Are there any issues/problems with updating?

when i had my milestone i upgraded to froyo and it was terrible. very laggy. this was quite a while back so i dont know if there are newer versions. i would suggest going for a light custom rom. worked the best for me on my milestone. i actually reverted back to stock 2.1 because everything just worked better for the most part. and the battery was a huge improvement over custom and froyo.

Thanks. After some more research it seems upgrading would introduce way more issues than it will solved. I'll stick with the phone as is. Luckily I can upgrade in mid March, so not long to wait for something better.
