Update on Neotel network issues

@neotel rep: Please please please please give an update on the current situation. ETA on fixes will be greatly appreciated!
 
Yes Please....we are paying every month and my device only works 20% of the time.


Some feedback please... I think action needs to be taken and escalated.

having same idea even u went to 20%
i not even getting 1%
now am browsing from vodacom modem
customer care is totally worst always saying the same word better to record that things and pass to tthe next one who asks for speed of net
 
Maybe he's left Neotel? Wouldnt be suprised given the amount of problems they have. I just dont understand how on earth my connection can dload at 140kB/s for 10 mins then 5kB/s for the next 10 mins. There is so much volatility that it does not make sense. Im starting to think either they dont have enough bandwidth or theyre suffering from major interference in their wireless network which is out of their control.

Or quite simply they have no !@#$!@#$!@ idea! How can a team of guys work this amount of time and not be able to sort out even one area? They can't even give an update on the situation?!!?
 
My NeoFlex data router hasn't even been registering on the nearest base station in the Randburg/Bromhof area since last Saturday...email via this ISP is my primary contact method with my home business clients! Loss of business for 1 week!!!! Same feedback each time when I call their tech support (they never call me back with progress report!!!!) Well, today I plan to cancel this sub-optimal service and go back to iBurst!
 
Lol. They are not useless.

they would first have had to be USEFUL - to become USELESS. And they've never been USEFUL in the first place. So they're just Neotel. Another pitiful excuse for a company thats focused on one thing - squeezing as much money out of the consumer as possible with the least amount of service.

maybe if they spent less money on stupid pavement people jumping around in orange clothing with advertising in Rivonia and spent it on proper call-center staff things would be better....

Hi everyone ,

i have read this thread and i have the same problem as Valken. Been with Neotel for just a week and already the connection doesn't work ... and when it does , it gives me 20 kbps , but i have a neoconnect prime unlimited . Called technical support , it is the same story over and over"it is a national problem" and "they are busy fixing this problem" and they don't call back to let you know what is happening.well i don't know about you guys , but a R1000 for unlimited 20kbps or no connection at all is a bit expensive lol i'll have to end my contract in a month if they don't sort their issues.they should make sure that the service works before offering them(well it works for some,and not at all for others)....... even though i don't really like telkom , it looks like i have to go back to square one .
 
Spoke with Neotel support now and issued another request for someone to call me and explain to me what is going on and when it wil be fixed.

The consultant was very helpful, and I just hope that his superiors will be as helpful.

Oh and I am connected now on 3G...
Another curious thing, seems like Neotel only have 1 agent manning the phones at night, and also no supervisor on duty.
