upgrade every 13 months!!!

Today i heard that if you spend more then R800 a month on a vodacom contract you can get you upgrade every 13 months..... Can anyone tell me if this is true? If you have done it?

The upgrade every year is reserved for platinum customers, and to get that status you need to spend at least R3000 per month as far as I know. Try calling customer care and check if you qualify?

Hmmm... been with Vodacom for 14+ years (5 accounts) and still only get too upgrade every 24 months!! and my month;ey bill is in excess of R2000

I think you can actually upgrade after 20 months, if you have a good payment record with Vodacom.

Currently with vodacom with a average bill of R1500,
You get the same upgrade on a talk 500 or 1000, the dealer advises me to take out 2 talk 500 where I can upgrade every 12 months,
I am sure the day one of the networks realises the value of high volume callers and allow 12 month upgrades will deff tale a chunk of that market.

I spoke to Vodacom upgrades today and they confirmed that I customers are eligible for an early upgrade with a monthly spend of >R800 and if the contract is 13months or older. I called to clarify, I have to wait till next year March for my 13 months though

I assure you this is what I was told by two separate people (on customer care 111 and vodacom upgrades 082 1959). 13months, with an average spend of >R800 = early upgrade.
A platinum subscriber is probably something else, what I'm talking about is any vodacom contract subscriber looking for an early upgrade. by doing this upgrade if it is available to you, your contract will be extended 24 months + the 11 months balance. So essentially they're tying you down for two more years on top of what is remaining.
