Upgrade time again. G3 vs S5

Okay, so its time for me to upgrade my contract again, currently on CellC Straight-up 100 with the S3. I can't decide if I should go with the:

LG G3 on Redbull Mobile RBM200 (200min, 1.5GB data) for R499/pm

or the

S5 on Telkom Mobile (100min, 1GB data) for R449/pm

What would you guys recommend and please suggest if there are other good deals :) Thanks
 
Deals seem good.

my choice would be bias because I have a G3.

I feel UI is better on the G3 and from vodacom at least you get the 32GB version standard.

Vodacom M package and extra 250MB data and wireless charger included for 499pm. (i am often on wifi so I dont need more than a GB data pm)
 
G3 is so much more sexy , sleek looking than the s5, and who needs a heart monitor lol

The G3 is obviously a better deal and what I would choose. LG is much lighter on the bloatware compared to Samsung, and the G3 is possibly the best looking phone out there atm.

Have to agree. G3.

Samsung phones aren't as impressive as when the S3 came out. Now Samsung is 'par for the course' rather than the cutting edge.

Anyway, as said above, the G3 with less bloatware and a cleaner interface.
 
Had a chance to play around with the S5.It just felt awful in my hands.Someone made a comment about the back looking like a band-aid and now I can't get that visual out of my mind.Specs wise they are very similar but the G3 just looks so MUCH better.Samsung has also become very mainstream.If you want what everyone else has and don't mind a k*k looking phone get the Samsung

I saw what you did there. :D

The Galaxy S5 has the best display, longest battery life and best camera of all the phones mentioned earlier + ADH Premium membership.

Wish it could have been a closer contest, but let's see next year.

I love my gold S5. It makes other phones, even other Galaxy S5s, look cheap. :love:
 
Biggest advantages g3 vs s5 I can think of out of my head.

IR remote for aircons, tv's etc.
Water resistant
Better display
Better Battery life
Better camera
ADH

Just to name a few...
 
As a matter of interest, I was looking at getting the LG G3 and was looking at getting it at Orange store. Went to Canal Walk this evening to compare prices at the various stores. Prices ranged from R8799 to R10000. Then I walked into the LG store and they have it on special for R6666 excl.Vat. and that is the 32GB/3GB version as well as a 24 month warranty. Orange only sells the 16GB/2GB version. G3 looks awesome. :D
 
Used a S5 for week and not even close to a G3.
Only thing better is ADH.
 
Have a S5 great phone, but I like the G3 more due to the better specs and GUI

I think you meant biggest advantages of S5 over G3.
