It's time for my upgrade again :) Yay!

Coincidentally, the screen on my N80 died this very morning. Strange timing neh?

The viable choices are:

6110 Navigator

Pros: GPS, Nokia, S60 OS
Cons: Bit slow, Fugly, No WLAN, Battery

HTC Touch

Pros: WLAN, Touch, Windows mobile, Battery
Cons: Not pretty, No 3G

HTC P3400

Pros: Touch, Windows Mobile, Battery
Cons: No 3G, No WLAN

HTC S710

Pros: WLAN, Windows Mobile, QWERTY keyboard
Cons: No 3G, not the prettiest.

Help me kind folks :D

I wouldn't mind the Navigator particularly but since I live in East London it's not exactly tough to get around.
There are whispers that the Touch can be hacked to support GPS (?) which would make it quite a leader.

I've always been a Nokia supporter but I figure it might be fun to try the HTC range.

I am happier going back to nokia from windoze ppc myself, and I dig the gps... www.geocaching.com is a gud reason to have gps!

Nashua mobile have had a few specials with the garmin mobile plus phone... that's what I got - nice bluetooth gps that can be used with PC or phone... Oh... and ask them for their deals in excel format - the sheet is huge.

It does not have an internal GPS like the HTC TyTNII, so you would have to buy a bluetooth GPS module to make use of this.

wait for the iphone, should be out by next month

What's the delay with the iPhone? By the time it gets launched in SA it will be old technology....

they were waiting for the 3g version, this will be launched this weekend. deals have already been done with vodacom so we should see it by next month in SA - the new iphone not the old one

The new 6110, the 6120 is out, the HTC S730 will be here soon.
The 3400 is crap IMO. The Touch dual is better than the Touch, it has a keyboard.

Im waiting for the SE C702/C902. Currently using a W960. I had the N82 very good phone, if theres a new software version that helps the battery I would recommend it if you a symbian fan.

not long now for the N96...

7 months is quite long.

I think you mean 4 - 5 months.

I suppose it depends what you use your phone for, but I would not choose one unless it has 3G.
