That's how I understand it too, but when I spoke to the "well informed" person at 10219 - they said someone must come out to my house - 14 working days.Lol - I upgraded to 1024 and didn't see a person. It just happened and they phoned me about 3 days later to ask if im happy.
Yep, that's what I thought, but the "well informed"person at Telkom still says they need to come out.wild_cat prob took a contract, not a very wise move. you dont need to take a contract on the closer packages.
they dont need to come to your house, all that needs to be done is they need to assign you a new port or something at the exchange, which a telkom techie will do, for me it was done within a day.
your router (any router) then needs to be restarted, and you will sync at hopefully 4096 (if exchange supports it)
Mind the stupid question, but where will I see this?what does it say you are syncing at on your router?
Hell i didnt find much difference in pings... well, 18 to 19ms to IS servers...
When I log in to my router settings it does say Data Rate 4096/384
4096 is 4mbps.......try downloading something and youll get (hopefully)great speeds
